HOLY CITY OF KARBALA, Iraq: Representative of Al-Marjaiyah Ad-Diniyah Al-Olyaa in the holy city of Karbala has called on Iraqi government to undertake a very significant task in the present time to halt terrorists’ heinous conspiracy of creating rift and fanning biases among Shia-Sunni Muslim brethren – that is reconstruction of holy shrine of Al-Imamain Al-Askariyain (AS) that was destructed on February 22 this year at the hands of terrorists.

Addressing to worshippers on fifth of Ramadan at the holy Husseini shrine compound, Sheikh Abdul Mehdi Al-Karbalayi said the government should form a joint committee from Ministries of Interior and Defense entrusting it the duty of creating suitable peaceful environment to begin reconstruction task.

He said the rebuilding would definitely return confidence of people to the elected government as well as thwart terror powers. He said confidence gets birth from seeing bold steps like step of this reconstruction. He made clear that it is the main demand of people before everything.
