Nasrullah willing to solve domestic divisions inside Lebanon
By: Karim Tellawi
BEIRUT, Lebanon: Lebanese Hezbollah movement led by Hassan
Nasrullah said they were ready to participate in "consultative
talks" called for by House Speaker Nabih Berri to try to solve
domestic divisions inside the country.
In a statement, the group said: "We hope such a call will lead
to a national political solution which will get Lebanon out of
its political crisis and put the country back on track in
order to build a capable and just nation."
On Wednesday, Berri called on all Lebanese factions to
participate in what he called "consultative talks" regarding
the formation of a national unity government and the
discussing of a new election law.
The house speaker said the first meeting, if all parties
agree, would start on October 30.
Berri expressed fear that if his efforts did not succeed in
securing a meeting between the ruling anti-Syrian majority led
by Saad Hariri, son of the late premier Rafik al-Hariri, and
the pro-Syrian Hezbollah, "the tension and political
escalations in the country will lead to street confrontations"
between the rival factions.
Meanwhile, sources close to the anti-Syrian majority also said
they were ready to take part in "consultative talks", but
wanted a larger agenda to be discussed - not just the two
items Berri mentioned.

"Knowledge is
better than wealth because it protects you while you have to
guard wealth. it decreases if you keep on spending it but the
more you make use of knowledge ,the more it increases . what you
get through wealth disappears as soon as wealth disappears but
what you achieve through knowledge will remain even after you."MORE
