WASHINGTON, United States: Saudi ambassador to Washington
Prince Turki Al-Faysal said, “We are from those who admit
supremacy and excellence of Ahl-i-Bayt-i-Rasol (peace be upon
them all) and are determined in the will of Prophet of Allah
for them (Ahl-i-Bayt) rather we desire that may Allah include
us in His mercy with them as Holy Prophet (peace be upon him
and his pure progeny)’s wife Omm-al Mo’minin Omm-i-Salma
desired according to Hadith Al-Kessa which stands witness on
excellence of Ahl-ul Bayt.”

He was addressing at Al-Imam Al-Khoei Center, New York, on
Friday. Iranian ambassador to UN Dr Jawwad Zarif, Iraqi
ambassador to UN Dr Hamed Al-Bayati and other religious and
social figures were also present on the occasion.

Al-Faysal spoke on love for Ahl-ul Bayt (peace be upon them)
in the sight of all Muslims not only near Shiias. He began his
speech with the Hadith Al-Kessa (tradition of cloak). He
said this hadith is present with all Muslims and in their
Sehah.

Quoting Ayah At-Tatahir: “O Ahl-ul Bayt! Allah desires to keep
uncleanness away from you and keep you clean and pure as you
deserve,” Al-Faysal said: “Ahl-ul Bayt mentioned in this
Quranic verse are Ali, Fatimah, Al-Hasan and Al-Hussein.” He
added the Ayah includes Aal-i-Ali, Aal-i-Aqeel, Aal-i-Jafar,
Aal Al-Abbas and those on whom after the Prophet sadeqa
(charity) is haram (unlawful). (They are Sayyed).”
Later, iftaar was served.
