Martyred Lebanese honored on Arba'in, victory rally called for
By: Karim Tellawi
BEIRUT, Lebanon: In connection with Arba'in (forty days
after martyrdom) of martyrs of recent Israeli aggression on
Lebanon, a mourning ceremony was held at Majma'ol Imam
Shamsoddin in Lebanon.
A large number of political, social and religious figures
attended the ceremony besides common people.

Vice-President Supreme Shiia Islamic Council in Lebanon
Sheikh Abdulamir Qablan addressed and paid rich tributes to
the martyrs and urged all Lebanese Shiia, Sunnis, Christians
and others to remain united against their joint enemy.
He said Islam is religion of love, peace, brotherhood and
justice; it condemns terrorism. On this occasion, we reiterate
our promise to remain defenders of Lebanon against Israeli
enemy.
Meanwhile, Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah, in a message
aired on the group's Al Manar Television, invited the Lebanese
on Sunday to attend a ‘victory’ rally.
‘I call on you all to participate in a victory rally, your
victory ... next Friday afternoon in the southern suburb, the
suburb of honour, glory, faith, steadfastness and victory for
the whole country and the whole nation,’ he said.
Nasrallah said the rally would be held in honour of Lebanese
who were martyred in the war and Lebanese detainees who remain
in Israeli jails.
Hezbollah wants to exchange the two Israeli soldiers for
Lebanese detainees held in Israel. The UN has appointed an
envoy to ‘facilitate’ the release of the Israeli soldiers.

"Knowledge is
better than wealth because it protects you while you have to
guard wealth. it decreases if you keep on spending it but the
more you make use of knowledge ,the more it increases . what you
get through wealth disappears as soon as wealth disappears but
what you achieve through knowledge will remain even after you."MORE
