Plans to form Shiia political party in Egypt; Muslim Brotherhood backs
By: Sultan Ahmed
CAIRO, Egypt: Egyptian Shiia leaders have said they plan to
extend a request to parties committee in October 2006 for
formation of first Shiia political party named “Shiiatu Misr”.
But the leaders said they expect the committee will reject the
request because creation of a religious party is contrary to
parties law.
This came in a time when sources in the tourism ministry
unveiled discussions to open doors for visitors and pilgrims
for pilgrimage to shrines of Aal Al-Bayt An-Nabawi (p) as well
as other Islamic sites in Egypt.
Head of Supreme Council for Aal Al-Bayt told “Roz Al-Yousaf”
newspaper that he will forward party papers to the committee.
In first reaction to the announcement of Shiias to have an
intention to shape a party, president of Ikhwan-ul Muslimin
(Muslim brotherhood) Mehdi Akef to the daily that it is right
of Shiias to form a political party to express their opinion
and political thought.

"Knowledge is
better than wealth because it protects you while you have to
guard wealth. it decreases if you keep on spending it but the
more you make use of knowledge ,the more it increases . what you
get through wealth disappears as soon as wealth disappears but
what you achieve through knowledge will remain even after you."MORE
