UN slams 'brutal slay' of Asian pilgrims
By: Ismail Zabeeh
BAGHDAD, Iraq: United Nations senior envoy to Iraq strongly
condemned the "deliberate murder" of over a dozen foreign
pilgrims while on their way to the Holy City of Karbala.
UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan's Special Representative in
Iraq Ashraf Qazi said in a statement that the murder of 14
people, including five women, while on their religious
pilgrimage is "a heinous crime that violates the fundamental
precepts of Islam and humanity."
Qazi also extended his condolences to the families of the
victims and called on the Iraqi authorities to "vigorously
pursue the perpetrators of this crime and bring them to
justice."

"Knowledge is
better than wealth because it protects you while you have to
guard wealth. it decreases if you keep on spending it but the
more you make use of knowledge ,the more it increases . what you
get through wealth disappears as soon as wealth disappears but
what you achieve through knowledge will remain even after you."MORE
