ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Chairperson of the Ummul Baneen WF, Mohtarma Umme Laila Mashhadi has said that powers pitching Muslims against Muslims will have to be thwarted through unity and brotherhood.

She was addressing a high level meeting of the Ummul Baneen WF proceedings of which began with recitation from Holy Quran by Raeesa-tul-Huffaz Zainab Alvia. A large number of delegates, RCPs, DCPs, ACPs from all over the country including SCP Ummul Baneen WF Mrs. Aqeel Naqvi participated in this meeting.

Mohtarma Umme Laila Mashhadi expressing concern over the increasing incidents of unrest, terrorism, differences and anarchy in the country said that every citizen of the country was feeling unprotected, therefore, women, being half of the country’s population, should also play their positive role in this critical juncture for the protection of religion, motherland, mosques, Imambargahs, religious institutions, Majalis and processions. She said, Allah has given them mind to think, eyes to see, ears to listen, and hands to work and in a situation where conspiracies are rife all around, we should keep our eyes and ears open, recognise our friends and foes because the internal enemy is more dangerous than the external enemy. She said, till now we had to take our Mehram men and children along to Majalis and Mahafil, listen to the Majalis and come back home but now the situation has changed as we are under the obligation to protect our Majalis, Mahafil, processions, religious institutions, and Imambargahs.

Mohtarma Umme Laila Mashhadi said our religion preaches peace and tranquillity and our Maktab spread all around through love and devotion. Fourteen centuries have passed by, we had been the target of aggression but Islam always adopted the defensive policy that remained successful in every era. She said Sunnis, and Shias are the two branches of Shajar-e-Islam who are living with each other since creation of Pakistan, our children study in schools together so much so that we are together in defending the motherland. But, she said, some foes who do not like to see us together and are hell bent to create such conditions where we may fight with each other the current example of which is situation in Parachinar. She said oppression, brutality and violence is a sin, mother’s lap is the first school, therefore, we have to protect our offspring from oppression, brutality and violence and set them on the right path of peace and tranquillity.

Giving detail of the organisational structure of the Ummul Baneen WF, Umme Laila Mashadi said that Ummul Baneen WF was formed in the month of Muharramul Haram and according to its Constitution, the high policy-making body is the Negehban Board that is entrusted with struggle for the fulfilment of its aims and objectives; summoning meetings; try to arrange funds for improving organisational performance. Its Advisory Council would comprise Central, Regional, District, Mohallah, and Area SCPs, RCPs, DCPs, CCP, ACP. Members of the sections formed under their supervision would be called Muhafizat. Every member of the Ummul Baneen WF would be called Muhafiza with the responsibility to monitor and protect ladies Majalis-e-Aza and Mahafils. Girl Guides would provide support to them. Sakeena Generation has been formed for girl children under the supervision of Mohtarma Amna Jafri while Asma Batool and Nadia Batool will perform as her deputies.

Renowned scholar Mohtarma Bint-ul-Huda in her address on the occasion said that we have to perform all these duties with the permission of our Mehrams and have to keep this principle in view that whatever we do should not cause any harm to the honour of the nation and the motherland and have to avoid everything that may be harmful for the dignity of the nation and the motherland. We always have to adopt a positive policy and keep away from negative activities.

She said, we have to try to be practicable and what we say we should do. She called upon women to decorate their children with education to the maximum as the more knowledge and awareness the more problems and difficulties to get away with. Every man and woman is under the obligation to be aware of the religious requirements to check the internal and external threats.

A resolution adopted on the occasion reiterated that interest of the nation and the motherland would be given priority over all matters, complete protection will be provided to basic ideology, all efforts would be made to declare upon the world that Islam is the religion of peace and tranquillity and considers injustice with anyone as a sin.

The resolution demanded from the government to take positive steps to remove the unrest found in Parachinar, arrest the assassins of Tehreek Nafaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jafariya Sarhad Province Nazim-ul-Umoor Jawwad Hussain Jawwad forthwith, ensure implementation of Anti-Terrorism Act and tackle the elements spreading terrorism in the country with an iron hand.

Another resolution resolved to continue supporting the oppressed the world over. It called upon the Islamic World to also demand immediate reconstruction of Jannatul Baqee, Jannatul Mualla and Samarra while raising voice for Babri Masjid and for the sanctity of Masjid-e-Aqsa.

Another resolution strongly condemned the publication of blasphemous images in J Lands Postan and French newspapers and declared that daughters of the nations while defending their honour and dignity would prove a concrete wall for the enemies of the religion and motherland.

Syeda Bint-ul Huda conducted the meeting, SCP Mrs. Aqeel Naqvi apprised the audience about organisational performance, Central Office Secretary Saira Jafri presented the report of the previous meetings while Senior Deputy Chairperson Zahra Gull presented the Performance Report.

From amongst the guests, Mrs. Robina Mazhar, Mohtarma Qurrat-ul-Ain, Mrs. Zahra Naqvi, Mrs. Sajeela Zulfiqar, Syeda Fizza Abid, Saima Batool, Kubra Fatima, and Najia Najaf Turabi addressed the gathering.

Fateha Khwani was offered for those who died or kissed Shahadat during Muharramul Haram and Ayyam-e-Aza and for the integrity of the motherland.
