HOLY CITY OF NAJAF, Iraq: Sources close to Al-Marje Al-A’ala Sayyed Ali Husseini As-Sistani have denied the reports which told that the Ayatullah is ill and was taken to intensive care unit in one of the hospitals of Iraq.

According to the sources the Ayatullah As-Sistani is in good health and performs his daily work at his office in Holy Najaf.

Wekalah Ambaa Iraqiyah had reported that the Marje was shifted to a Najaf hospital on Monday morning after his illness. The Wekalah quoted a physician who desired not to mention his name saying that the Marje Al-A’ala was suffering with breathe problem and fast heart beat.

Sayyed Muhammad Bahrul-Olum denied the reports while talking on telephone to Kuwait’s daily Al-Watan. Similarly Ayatullah’s representative Sayyed Mortadha Al-Mohri referring Al-Marje As-Sistani’s son Sayyed Muhammad Ridha contradicted the reports.
