HELD JERUSALEM: Mufti of Jerusalem and occupied Palestinian territory Sheikh Mohammed Hussein has affirmed that Israeli aggressions against the Aqsa Mosque have escalated and became more violent.

"The atrocities against the unarmed Palestinian people and their holy shrines have further escalated in the past few weeks in an apparent Israeli bid to break the determination and steadfastness of the Palestinian people which will never occur", said the Sheikh.

He highlighted that the Israeli aggressions against the Mosque had sharply increased and started to take a dangerous course that could jeopardize the Mosque's very existence.

Hussein urged the Arab and Muslim Ummah to immediately break their silence, and to stand up in defense of the Muslim holy shrines.
