RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The International Youm-ul-Huzn (Day of Grief) was observed throughout the country to mark the Youm-e-Wafat of Negehban-e-Risalat (Protector of Prophethood) Abul Aaimma (Father of Imams) Hazrat Abu Talib (A.S.) on the call of Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi.

Majalis, Matamdari and religious gatherings were held in all small and big cities and towns of all the four provinces and in the Federal Capital Islamabad, Azad Kashmir and Northern Areas, on this occasion.

Ulema, Waizeen and Zakireen highlighted the Hazrat Abu Talib (A.S.)’s Seerat and his invaluable sacrifices and deeds in way of Islam.

In Rawalpindi, the main Majlis-e-Aza of International Youm-ul-Huzn was held at Markazi Imambargah Qadeem under the auspices of Syed Muazzam Ali Rizvi Advocate. TNFJ Central Secretary Information Allama Syed Qamar Haider Zaidi addressing the Majlis said that Imani spirit of Sheb-e-Abi Talib’s (A.S.) Mujahideen to get rid of problems and weak economy of the Islamic World is an example to follow.

He said the purpose of Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Moosavi in observing International Youm-ul-Huzn on the occasion of Youm-e-Wafat of Hazrat Abu Talib (A.S.) is to follow the Sunnat-e-Rasool (SAAW) because the Holy Prophet (SAAW) had declared the year of his Wafat as Aam-ul-Huzn (the year of grief). Therefore, the whole Muslim Ummah is under the obligation to present homage in Bargah-e-Hazrat Abu Talib (A.S.) and highlight his blessings on Islam.

Allama Agha Ali Hussain Najfi in his address said it has been openly accepted in every book of the Islamic history that Hazrat Abu Talib (A.S.) did the Kifalat and helped Rasool-e-Khuda (SAAW), not only this but Abu Talib (A.S.) has the honour to be the Nikah Khwan of the Holy Prophet (SAAW). He said had Hazrat Abu Talib (A.S.) been not there, Islam would not have been in existence today, therefore, all conscious human beings are indebted to Hazrat Abu Talib’s (A.S.) blessings.

Syed Madah Hussain Shah Daira Deen Panah said that Hazrat Abu Talib (A.S.) performed the duty of protecting Rasool-e-Khuda (SAAW) and dissemination of Paigham-e-Tauheed and Risalat since the beginning of Islam till the Wisal of Rasool-e-Khuda (SAAW) with courage and encouraged the Holy Prophet (SAAW) by saying that no one could cause any harm to him till the Abu Talib (A.S.) is alive.

Maulana Ejaz Hussain Madras, Zakir Sajjad Hussain Shumari, Zakir Ilyas Raza, Zakir Ghulam Abbas Ratan, Zakir Nasir Abbas Notak, Allama Nasir Abbas Multan, Zakir Noorul Hassan Noori and others also addressed the Majlis.

A resolution presented by Nasim-us-Saqlain was unanimously adopted by the participants which said that both recognized Makatib of Islam i.e. Sunni and Shia played an equal part in creating and decorating Pakistan but despite passage of more than a half century, both the Makatib are still deprived of their basic rights, a particular group was monopolizing all State departments including the electronic media, Maktab-e-Tashayyo is being ignored in every department from top to bottom despite the fact that Pakistan is the joint inheritance of all Makatib.

The resolution demanded from the government to give ideological representation to Maktab-e-Tashayyo in all State departments including the media and implement the May 21, 1985 Junejo-Moosavi forthwith so as to resolve the Shia problems.

Another resolution strongly condemning the ongoing terrorism demanded immediate arrest of the assassins of TNFJ Sarhad Province Nazim-ul-Umoor Shaheed Jawwad Hussain Jawwad forthwith and give him exemplary punishment, form a high level Tribunal to probe these incidents and unveil the realities before the people. Moreover, such steps should be taken that may check such incidents of unrest.

The resolution demanded effective implementation of the Anti-Terrorism Act for restoration of durable peace and to tighten noose around the banned groups besides tackling them with an iron hand.

Another resolution strongly condemned the suicide blasts in Karbala-e-Mualla near the holy mausoleum of Syed-ush-Shuhada Hazrat Imam Hussain (A.S.) and expressed grief over scores of martyrdoms. The resolution condemned this activity and held international colonial powers responsible for it who desire to create justification for further stay of the allied forces in Iraq.

The resolution called upon the international organizations play their effective role in stopping the ongoing terrorism in Iraq and stop bloodshed of the innocent people. Another resolution expressed complete solidarity with the oppressed the world over, particularly the oppressed people of Iraq, Afghanistan, Kashmir and Palestine.

In Federal Capital, Allama Basharat Hussain Imami and other Ulema and Zakireen addressed the Youm-ul-Huzn Majlis held at Markazi Imambargah Khadijatul Kubra. Matamdari was also performed.

A Majlis-e-Aza was held at Ali Hall under the auspices of Hay’at Tulaba-e-Islamia. Maulana Basim Abbas Zahiri addressing the Majlis said that no Muslim could forget the blessings of Hazrat Abu Talib (A.S.) for Islam as he protected the life of Rasool-e-Khuda (SAAW), Paigham-e-Tauheed and Risalat in the most difficult times.

He said the uswah-e-Abu Talib (A.S.) is the beacon of light for the oppressed people of the world even today. Matamdari was also performed after the Majlis.
