CALIFORNIA, United States: A conference titled ‘unity among Islamic
sects’ was held in Los Angeles, California to celebrate the
anniversary of birth of holy Prophet Muhammad (s) and his grandson
Al-Imam As-Sadeq (s).

Both Shiia and Sunni leaders attended the conference at Islamic
Cultural Center.

Prayer leader and founder of the center Hojjatol-Islam Wal
Muslimeen Al-Allamah Sayed Mostafa Al-Qazvini, Director of Islamic
Public Relations Council in US Salam Al-Miryati, Director Islamic
Shura Council in Southern California Shakil Sayed, prayer leader of
Ahlel Bait (s) mosque Los Angeles Dr Sayed Redha Al-Hejar, Director
American Islamic Relations Council in California Hassam Iloush, one of
the founders of Islamic Center in Southern California Dr Maher Hathot
and many others addressed.



The urged the need to curb the culture of extremism, and sidelining
any sect or its followers. They called on Muslims to take lesson of
unity and respect for others from the seerah of holy Prophet (s).
