KUWAIT CITY: Birth anniversary of Waleed Al-Ka’abah (the one who was born in the House of Allah) Al-Imam Ali bin Abi Talib (AS) on 13 Rajab was celebrated across Kuwait like other countries with veneration and enthusiasm.

Marking the auspicious occasion, festivals were held at mosques and husseiniyaat. Speakers and clerics while addressing these gatherings highlighted status and merits of Al-Imam Ali (AS), who is the first infallible imam, cousin and son-in-law of Prophet (SW) and father of As-Sibtayn – Al-Imam Al-Hasan (AS) and Al-Imam Al-Hussein (AS). Different aspects of his holy life i.e. his knowledge, decisions, worship, piousness and bravery were also brought to light.

At husseiniyah Al-Imam Al-Mortadha, Sheikh Hani Sha’aban addressed the function which was attended by Ayatullah Sheikh Muhammad Taher Al-Khaqani besides many other religious scholars and clerics.

Sheikh Sha’aban said Al-Imam Ali (AS) is guide of acquaintance and knowledge, and beacon of thought of awareness.

Sheikh Muhammad Joma’ah also addressed. He threw light on ‘Welayah (devotion) of Muhammad and Aal-i-Muhammad’, and said no deed is acceptable if there is no welayah for these holy personalities in our heart.
