Riyadh links shrines-leveling verdicts to Zionists

By: Abdulali

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia: Saudi Culture and Information Minister Iyad Madani strongly dismissed issuance of any Fatwa (religious order) by Saudi muftis on demolishing holy shrines in Iraq and Damascus (Syria).

"No such Fatwa has ever been issued by any of the Saudi muftis or its senior religious figures," said the Saudi official in a meeting with Iran’s ambassador to Saudi Arabia Mohammad Hosseini.

"Such claims are definitely made by Zionists and enemies of Islam," Madani stressed.
