Children observe sunnat of Hazrat Zainab (a.s.) by walking on fire

BHAVNAGAR, India: In memory of Hazrat Zainab (a.s.) sister of Imam
Hussain (a.s.), who ran from one camp to the other to save Imam
Zain-ul-Abideen (a.s.) and Hussaini cildren after Yazidis set Hussaini
camps on fire on Ashura after martyrdom of the grandson of Prophet
Muhammad (s.w.), Imam Hussain (a.s.), numbers of Shia Children up to
15 yrs. gathered here in Jafari Society of Bhavnagar for the "walk on
fire" ritual on Sunday 11th February 2007.
"You can see that children walk on fire without feeling any pain.
So, we want to send a message that we are ready to make any kind of
sacrifice for Imam Hussain," said a child Mohammed Zamin Nathani
taking part in the rite.
Majlis was addressed by Maulana Mohammad Taqi Qummi.
Notable point of this occasion is that in Asia only one “Walking on
Fire” for children is arranged by Jafari Anjuman of Bhavnagar.

KOLKATA, India: On Muharram 21, a procession of Taboot (replica coffins) of 72 martyrs of Karbala, who offered sacrifice some 1,400 years back in the burning plain of Karbala for defense of Shariah and safety of human values, was held in the Indian city of Kolkata.
