Muharram arrangements reviewed in Budgam meeting

BUDGAM, HELD KASHMIR: An important meeting of officers
was held here with District Development Commissioner in chair to
finalize arrangements regarding observance of Muharram-ul-Haram in
Budgam district.
The meeting took necessary decisions for providing smooth power and
water supply during Muharram.
Necessary repairs and renovation of roads have been taken through
which Tazia processions would be taken out.
The meeting was told that additional 600 quintals of rice and 350
quintals of Sugar are being provided to the people by the CA&PD
department on the eve of Muharram.
The Forest Department would provide 2300 quintals of firewood to Imam
Bharas in the district besides 700 quintals of firewood would be
issued to the Shia dominated areas in Varmul district.
