Iran Supreme Leader partakes Hussaini mourning ceremony

TEHRAN, Iran: A mourning ceremony attended by the Supreme Leader of
Iran Ali Khamenei was held here to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam
Hussein (AS). Senior officials of the country as well as thousands of
people from all walks of life also attended the ceremony.
The Supreme Leader led the evening prayers before the start of the
ceremony.
Martyrdom of Hadhrat Hussain Ibn Ali (AS) and 72 of his companions,
including his immediate family and followers, in the scorched plains
of Karbala in Iraq in the 7th century is observed worldwide with
reverence and solemnity eulogizing his supreme sacrifice to uphold
justice and truth.
