DEN HAAG, Holland: Iraqi Supreme Islamic Council observed
the fourth martyrdom anniversary of Ayatullah Sayyed Muhammad Baqir
Al-Hakim in Holland on 22 July.
Large number of people from different parts of the country as well as
political and social figures attended a ceremony marking the occasion.


Alhaj Abo-Yasser Ad-Dahvi opened the gathering with
recitation of Quranic verses followed by speeches by Ayatullah As-Sistani’s
representative Sheikh Abo-Taha At-Tamimi, Sayyed Kafah Al-Husseini,
Al-Ostaz Salah Bawani, Al-Ostaz Gharib, Najaf representative Sayyed
Ala Al-Khateeb, Alhajah Ommi As’ad, Muhammad Al-Mafraji,
Iraqi ambassador to Holland Al-Ostaz Sinamand and many others. They
threw light on the different aspects of the life of Ayatullah Baqir
Al-Hakim who was martyred in a car bomb attack near the holy Haidari
shrine in the holy city of Najaf along with more than 100 others.

Message of Sayyed Abdulaziz Al-Hakim was read by the
Supreme Council’s representative Dr Hussein Al-Khatib.
Al-Ostaz Safa Al-Fartosi and poet Mosheer As-Saidi recited elegies.
