ZARIA, Nigeria: After his return to Nigeria from a research and study in Qum (Islamic Republic of Iran) Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria lead the Fourty-day (yawm arbaeen) Mourning session of Imam Husain (AS) on Friday the 20th Safar 1428 at Fudiyya Islamic Centre Zaria at 7:30 pm.

Sheikh Zakzaky went to the FIC direct from airport to deliver a lecture to the audience gathered awaiting his return. In his speech he started with the origin and importance of the mourning of Yawm al arbaeen, he described that according to some narration of the A'Immah (AS) the reading of ziarat Yawm al Arbaeen is one of the five signs of the believers.

During his speech, Sheikh narrated how the enemies of Ahli Bayt Muhammad (AS) spread wrong rumors concerning them. During the reign of Muawia they spread hatred of Ali (AS) and Hassan (AS) in their aim to separate Ummah from the Ahl al Bayt (AS). Sheikh Zakzaky called on the Muslims to make research and find out the truth because Allah will never let it disappear due to His mercy. He said that truth can be known through research and reading.

Sheikh Zakzaky warned the Muslims to wake up from the long slumber to unite and fight injustice, to sacrifice their life as Imam Hussain did to make Islam alive. He said that it was only through struggle in the right fight that one will establish justice to the Ummah.

At the end of his speech, he read the Imam Hussain's ziarat of 40th day as recommended.
