Protests held against Hyderabad police firing

HYDERABAD, India: Muslims staged protests on Sunday in parts of
Hyderabad and New Delhi against the police firing after Friday's blast
at Hyderabad mosque.
The demonstrators were demanding a probe into the firing and
suspension of policemen who ordered the firing. At least five people
were killed in the firing as a mob went on a rampage to protest
against the blast, which claimed 11 lives.
"Our main demand is that of a CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation)
inquiry into the blast, and action against police officers who fired
and killed innocent people. The erring policemen should be suspended,"
said Liaqat, one of the protestors.
