RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi has announced to observe Friday, May 4 as Universal Youm-e-Tarheem for the height of ranks of martyrs of religion and motherland.

Marking the occasion, Quran Khwani, Majalis-e-Taraheem and condolence meetings will be held to pay homage to all martyrs, without any discrimination, of Kashmir, Palestine, Lebanon, Iraq, Afghanistan and those who became the target of terrorism during the incidents of terrorism taken place in Dera Ismail Khan, Charsadda, Tank, Parachinar, Peshawar and Hangu.

In a statement issued here Agha Moosavi said the international colonial powers are afraid of Wahdat Ummat (oneness of the nation) because unity, mutual understanding and brotherhood are the source of promoting religion and Shariat and Islamic values. That is why, he added, international Taghoot was utilising all her powers like in the past to pitch brother against brother and shed their blood so as to wipe them out from the world scene and maintain her own supremacy. He said first, Afghan people were targeted in the garb of 9/11 and Osama, then Iraq was shattered in the garb of Saddam and the honour and dignity of the holy places were trampled.

The TNFJ chief said whether it is Middle East or South Asia, the freedom of Palestine and Kashmir is encroached upon rather the life of the people there is made difficult and pending solution of these problems is on the agenda of international colonial powers.

He said that Pakistan played the role of front-line ally against terrorism and is undergoing punishment for the same in the shape of one incident or the other. At present Pakistan is not only being threatened rather the colonial powers by promoting friendship with India are exerting pressure on Pakistan that provides food for thought.

The Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Hamid Moosavi said that we consider murder of any innocent as the murder of Islam, Pakistan and humanity. Therefore, he said, homage should be paid to all martyrs without any discrimination by observing Universal Youm-e-Tarheem on Friday during which prays should be offered for the early recovery of the injured, supremacy of the Islamic World, integrity and solidarity of the motherland Pakistan.

Meanwhile, a TNFJ Committee has been formed to organise the programmes for the Universal Youm-e-Tarheem. Dr. S.M. Rizvi has been nominated as Convener and Allama Sadiqi as Secretary of this Committee.
