TNFJ accountability meet calls for peace showing wisdom in Parachinar
By: Salman Alvi
RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The 'Mahasbah Ijlas' (accountability meeting)
of Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya Pakistan presided over by
Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi ended after
adopting different resolutions on important national and international
issues and taking important decisions.
The participants of the meeting adopted some resolutions presented by
TNFJ Central Secretary Syed Qamar Haider Zaidi unanimously.
A resolution said that Pakistan's Nazria-e-Asaasi (basic ideology) is
Islam, therefore, supporting and promoting the objectives and goals of
creation of Pakistan for the integrity and protection of the nation
and the people, welfare of humanity, and betterment of the people is
the need of the hour.
The resolution made it clear that devotion with motherland is the part
of faith (Iman). Therefore, at the time of Hijrat (migration) to
Madinah, the greatest personality like Khatmi Martabat (SAAW) looked
towards Makkah turning towards it again and again. Then came the time
when Makkah achieved a great place and honour and today this city is
considered the hub of religion and Shariat.
The resolution said that if we really consider Pakistan important then
we would have to march forward by remaining within the constitutional
limits to increase its importance and to enlighten it further. The
resolution said that the Constitution would have to be restored
forthwith and all things should be done within its limits to transform
President Gen. Pervez's Musharraf's utterance "Pakistan First" into
reality and to bring Pakistan at number one position throughout the
world.
The resolution termed the completion of Assemblies' term first time in
60 years a good omen the credit of which definitely goes to President
Pervez Musharraf.
The resolution declaring the announcement of general elections as a
preface of democracy stressed the need to turn the country into a hub
of peace to make elections justifiable and transparent. Whereas it is
the government's job to make elections transparent, the political
parties are also under the obligation to create conducive environment.
If there is apprehension from the government's side to rig elections,
then the political parties should also avoid taking such steps that
could be utilised as an excuse for making the elections
non-transparent, it added.
Declaring the threats of boycotting elections as harmful for
democracy, the resolution reminded that some parties bore the loss for
not taking part in election in the past rather the whole nation is
undergoing that loss even today. Had there been no boycott of
elections then the country would not have become the target of
terrorism.
Therefore, the government and the opposition should take all decisions
by giving a serious thought so as to increase the honour and dignity
of the country, constitution is restored, media gets freedom,
political prisoners are set free, elections are transparent.
These steps, if taken, may increase the honour and dignity of the
country and would bring a good name for the political parties.
The resolution expressing concern over the 'holi' of blood being
played in the sensitive areas of the Sarhad province, Parachinar and
Agencies demanded that peace should be restored there exercising
wisdom, and citizens should be provided complete protection. The
government was also called upon to root out incidents of murder, arson
and terrorism with an iron hand.
Another resolution termed restoration of telecast of some private TV
channels and release of some arrested people a good step and demanded
release of all prisoners without any discrimination, and immediate
restoration of Geo News and ARY One World to achieve complete peaceful
atmosphere. The resolution also called upon the private TV channels to
give priority to Pakistan's honour, dignity, integrity and solidarity.
The resolution expressed concern over an advertisement published by a
private TV channel to begin their telecasts from foreign countries and
considered this announcement as a step to blackmail Pakistan and
encroaching upon its dignity. The resolution said that even we are
sent to the gallows, we should go all out for Pakistan from the
beginning to the last otherwise those who use foreign crutches have no
right to be called Pakistanis.
Various important decisions of organisational nature were taken during
the meeting. It was decided that "International Ayyam-e-Zaamin" will
be observed from 22-25 November to mark the Jashan-e-Wiladat of Hazrat
Imam Ali Raza ( A.S.). Mahafils, conferences and seminars will be
organised on this occasion to pay tributes to the Khanwada-e-Risalat
and prays will be offered for the integrity and solidarity of the
country, supremacy of the Islamic World, protection of the Sha'air
Allah, and for an end of problems and difficulties of the oppressed
world including Kashmir, Palestine and Iraq.
The TNFJ Committee to observe International Ayyam-e-Zaamin was also
formed. Allama Fakhar Abbas Abidi has been nominated as Convener,
Muhammad Abbas Baloch as Secretary and Ali Furqan Jafri as Deputy
Secretary of the this Committee.

"Knowledge is
better than wealth because it protects you while you have to
guard wealth. it decreases if you keep on spending it but the
more you make use of knowledge ,the more it increases . what you
get through wealth disappears as soon as wealth disappears but
what you achieve through knowledge will remain even after you."MORE
