MANAMA, Bahrain: Muslims in different parts of the world celebrated
Eid-ul-Fitr with devotion on Saturday, while many Muslims marked Eid
on Friday and Sunday upon sighting the new moon which means the end of
the holy month of Ramadan and starting of the next month of Islamic
calendar Shawal.






Across much of the Middle East Eid-ul-Fitr was on Friday, 12 Oct.
while in European countries Eid-ul-Fitr was celebrated on Saturday.





On this auspicious occasion, Eid congregations were held in Eid
Gahs and open places, and people embrace each other extending
greetings.
In Pakistan, India and Bangladesh Eid-ul-Fitr falls on Sunday, 14
October.
