Shias in Kashmir celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr

SRINAGAR, Held Kashmir: Thousands of Shia Muslims in Srinagar celebrated Eid-ul-Fitr festival on Saturday, which marks the end of the holy fasting month of Ramadan.

Dressed in new clothes, they swarmed mosques across Kashmir to offer prayers.

As is customary, Muslims embraced each other and exchanged Eid greetings after the prayers.

"We offered namaz today. We prayed to the almighty to help restore peace and happiness in the valley and bless us all," said Nissar Ahmed, Shia Muslim in Budgam.


 
  "Knowledge is better than wealth because it protects you while you have to guard wealth. it decreases if you keep on spending it but the more you make use of knowledge ,the more it increases . what you get through wealth disappears as soon as wealth disappears but what you achieve through knowledge will remain even after you."MORE ..
