Al-Watan attacks Shair Al-Husseiniyah

KUWAIT CITY: The Kuwaiti Al-Watan daily attacked Shair Al-Husseiniyah
(Husseini Rites..Majlis-e-Aza, Matam, processions) and Grand Maraje
accusing them for using religion to take control in Iraq.
An article published on Saturday, while targeting Shair Al-Husseiniyah,
mass marches, which start annually to commemorate the martyrdom of
Hazrat Imam Hussein bin Ali ibne Abitalib (A.S.), religious ritual,
said that Shiites are defaming the religious beliefs and this all is
strange psychological torture exercise.
Grand Maraje are using religion and these ceremonies to achieve
political interests and purposes to strengthen their influence within
the community, the paper said.
