Hezbollah warns against US bases in Lebanon

BEIRUT, Lebanon: Lebanese Hezbollah headed by Hasan Nasrallah has
warned on Monday against the alleged creation of US military bases in
Lebanon saying the foreign troops would be treated as "occupation
forces."
Talking to AFP, Hezbollah official Nawaf Mussawi said: "It is
impossible to accept such a project. American soldiers on Lebanese
soil will be considered an occupation force and will be treated as
such."
"Let the Americans take this message as they wish."
Thursday, the pro-Syrian Lebanese newspaper As-Safir reported that
Washington had lodged an official request with the Beirut government
for the creation of US army bases in Lebanon.
