Sudanese leader necessitates Shia-Sunni unity

BRUSSELS, Belgium: Sadiq Al-Mahdi, Chief of Sudanese political party Al-Omma, in Tehran on Tuesday called for focusing on common goals of the Shia and Sunni Muslims and Islamic mercy to bolster solidarity among the Muslims.

In his address to International Conference on 'Consensus between the Shia and Sunni Muslims', he said aspirations of the Islamic religion is crystal clear and that the Shia and Sunni Muslims should resolve their differences through dialogue and logic and not to give pretext to the enemies to inflict losses on Muslims.

Muslim religious and political leaders attended the conference.

Al-Mahdi said that the enemies have unleashed wars and conflicts to plunder wealth of the Muslims including oil and gas.
