Imam Ali (a) mourning programs kick off across globe

TORONTO, Canada: Mourning programs marking the martyrdom anniversary of
Amir-ul-Momineen, Wasi-e-Rasool (SAW) Hazrat Ali Ibn-e-Abi Talib (peace be on
him) began across the globe from the eve of Ramazan 19.
Programs including majalis-e-aza, or mourning gatherings, mourning
processions, taking out of replica of Imam Ali (peace be on him)’s coffin and
special a’maal are organized at mosques, hussainiyaat, imambargahs, maatam
and Islamic centers attended by multitudes of mourners.
Religious scholars and speakers, in their addresses and speeches, highlight
the pious character of the Commander of the Faithful (peace be on him)
bringing to light his services and sacrifices rendered for the cause of Islam
as well as his precious teachings.
Mourning programs will continue till Ramazan 21.
