Majalis-e-Aza, processions mark beginning of ‘International Grief Days’ across Pak

RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: Majalis-e-Aza to mark the International Ayyam-e-Aza (grief days) began throughout the country on the occasion of Youm-e-Shahadat of Maula-e-Kainat Amirul Momineen Hazrat Ali Ibne Abi Talib (A.S.) on the call of Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi. Ulema, Waizeen, and Zakireen will highlight the Seerat of Amirul Momineen (A.S.) and the philosophy of Shahadat in detail that carries utmost importance in Islam.

A meeting of International Ayyam-e-Aza Committee of the TNFJ was held here to review the arrangement of the programmes in this connection. Convener Sardar Mumtaz Ali Qazilbash presided over the meeting that strongly demanded from the government to make special arrangements to improve law and order situation during the Ayyam-e-Aza and wide coverage should be given to the programmes and Taboot procession on the electronic media while special programmes on the Shahadat of Amirul Momimeen Hazrat Ali (A.S.) should be presented on radio and television.

Sardar Mumtaz Qazilbash addressing the participants of the meeting said that after Khatmi Martabat (SAAW), the great and singular personality of Hazrat Ali Al-Murtaza (A.S.) is the symbol of point of unity for the whole Muslim Ummah. He said it is necessary for the whole world to hold the Daman-e-Karrar for resolving problems and difficulties faced by them. He appealed all religious and Matmi organisations and institutions to pray for end to the problems and difficulties of the oppressed the world over, annexation of occupied Muslim areas, success of the independence and Islamic movements of Kashmir and Palestine and integrity of the motherland in the Majalis and Matmi processions of the International Ayyam-e-Aza.

A resolution unanimously adopted on the occasion expressed concern over the continued political anarchy and unrest in the country and called upon the powers that be and political parties to exercise wisdom in this precarious situation and avoid all those activities that may cause any harm to the country and the nation. The resolution demanded from the government to free all arrested lawyers, and journalists forthwith, provide special facilities for treatment to the injured and compensate their losses. The resolution opined that the conspiracies of enemies of religion and motherland could be thwarted by adopting the policy of mutual understanding, tolerance, peace and tranquillity.
