Kohat, Pakistan: Syed Mazhar Ali Shah Advocate, Secretary General of Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya Pakistan has expressed great sorrow and grief over the heavy loss of life as a result of bomb blast near Mardan Police Station and termed this incident an open act of terrorism. In a statement, he said, such incidents could not be checked unless this menace is rooted out. He expressed his concern that the whole country is the target of terrorism but the number of incidents that took place in N.W.F.P Province during the last five years killing many people provide food for thought the responsibility of which lay on former MMA and the Caretaker governments. He said the newly elected Sarhad government has made some good announcements which could become effective only when these are implemented proving coherence in the words and the deeds.

He said Sawat, Waziristan, Mardan, Bangash had been the target of terrorism while lawlessness also prevailed in Kurram Agency where the situation of civil war still prevails, roads are blocked, eatables are scarce and the citizens are upset on non-availability of medicines and treatment, hundreds of people have lost their life while a large number of them are injured or have become disabled while darkness prevails all around owing to severing of communications. He said the Interior Ministry had taken some good steps and now restoration of peace there is the responsibility of the new provincial government. He said we had invited the attention of the Federal and Provincial Governments to correct the situation in Kurram Agency time and again and we strongly demand from the government again to set up an independent Tribunal that may unveil the hidden hands behind sabotaging peace in these areas. He said some banned organisations were not letting the fire to cool down in the sensitive areas on the desire of foreign hands therefore it is necessary to set up the Tribunal without any further delay. Lauding the government announcement of calling jirgas for promoting mutual understanding he termed this step a best solution to the problems.

Mazhar Ali Shah Advocate demanded that roads should be opened forthwith, and eatables and medicines should be provided in Kurram Agency, Parachinar and Kohat, immediately. He said the whole country is affected if terrorism takes place in any part of Pakistan, therefore, the people should prove themselves that they are patriotic citizens and they keep Pakistan dearer that anything else and consider attack on any area or tribe as an attack on the whole country. He said as per a saying of Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi there is no Maktabi conflict here and the practical display of unity and brotherhood would thwart the designs of those powers who desire to destabilise the country.
