Sierra Leone: Iranian cultural consulate in Sierra Leone and the international institute of Islamic studies observed Ghadir day.

Earlier, an official of the consulate Mohamed Ghezel Sofla told journalists at his Garrison Street office that Ghadir day was an event that is observed all over the world.

"We are offering our congratulations to all Sierra Leonean Muslims on this occasion. A significant question about Ghadir is the topic of guardianship," he said.

The formal declaration of Imamat (Leadership) of Imam Ali (AS) was announced by the Holy Prophet of Islam (SAW) on 18th of Zee al-Hijjah of the year 10 AH at Ghadir Khumm near Makkah Mukarramah after the 'Farewell Hajj'.

On this historical and auspicious day on the divine orders of Allah Almighty (SWT), the Holy Prophet of Islam (SAWA) formally declared Imam Ali (AS) as 'The Immediate Imam and Caliph of the Muslims after the Holy Prophet of Islam (SAWA)'.

Regarding divine right of Imam Ali (AS) the Holy Prophet of Islam (SAWA) declared: "To Whom I'm Lord, Ali is Lord, O Allah! befriend whoever befriend him and be hostile to whosoever is hostile to him."

Imam Ali (AS) is the only unique personality in the world who was born in the Holy Kaaba and was martyred in the Mosque.
