RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: Majalis in connection with “Ashra-e-Shaheeda-e-Zindan” began throughout the country on Wednesday to mark the Shahadat of Aseera-e-Karbala Hazrat Sakina Bint-ul-Hussain (S.A.) on the call of Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi.

Majalis-e-Shahadat were held at different Imambargahs and Aza Khanas of the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad followed by Taboot processions. Zakirah Sameena Mushtaq addressing a Majlis-e-Aza organised at markazi imambargah Jamia-tul-Murtaza G-9/4, Islamabad under the auspices of Anjuman Dukhtran-e-Islam Pakistan (Registered) highlighted seerat of Sakina Bint-ul-Hussain (S.A.) and termed it a beacon of light for the Dukhtran-e-Millat.

She said the actual name of Hazrat Sakina Bint-ul-Hussain (S.A.) was Fatima and she is that pious lady who played exemplary role after the Shahadat of Imam Hussain (A.S.) in the gaols of Kufa and Shaam and in the courts of Yazid and Ibne Ziad that defamed the name of Yazid for ever and she kissed Shahadat in the gaol of Shaam. This great sacrifice of her guaranteed the survival of Hussaini objective and welfare of the Muslim Ummah.

A resolution adopted on the occasion strongly condemned the electronic media for ignoring the programmes of International Ashra Beemar-e-Karbala. The resolution said that highlighting the seerat and good deeds of the Mashaheer-e-Islam is obligatory for all but it is a matter of concern that despite being an Islamic State, the days of the pious personalities are ignored on the media in this country while all types of other comedy and musical programmes, that are contrary to the spirit of basic ideology and Pakistan’s Constitution, are shown extensively.

Another resolution called upon the political parties to avoid anarchy and political unrest and respect Muharram during their election campaigns.

Allama Syed Qamar Haider Zaidi, addressing a Majlis at Markazi Imambargah Qadeem Rawalpindi under the auspices of Col. Mudassir Naqvi and Masoom Asghar Naqvi said that the Khanwada-e-Muhammad (SAAW) and Aal-e-Muhammad (A.S.) by bearing all types of oppression and brutalities proved to the whole world that one should not hesitate even sacrificing everything in the path of righteousness and in achieving the pious objectives because it guarantees survival and gives real life. He said women along with men set such invaluable examples of sacrifice in Karbala that are the beacon of light not only for the Islamic World but also for the humanity.

Zakir Abdul Ghaffar, Raees Abbas Rizvi, and Ibne Hassan Rizvi also addressed the Majlis that followed Matamdari.

Mufti Basim Abbas Zahiri addressing a Majlis held at Aza Khana Masooma-e-Qum under the auspices of Hay’at Tulaba-e-Islamia said that every person of Khanwada-e-Aal-e-Muhammad (A.S.) sacrificed for the supremacy of Islam and promotion of Deen-e-Muhammadi that is a great eternal deed for which Islam and humanity are imbibed to them. He said every conscious person considers Karbala a symbol of righteousness and desires the spirit of sacrificing everything in way of Allah through the source of Rah-e-Karbala. He made it clear that if women at large desire that their offspring be ready to preach righteousness and follow the path of truthfulness that they would have to bow down on the door of Hussainiyyat as in it lay success here and Hereafter.

A Majlis-e-Aza was held at Shahzad Town, Islamabad under the auspices of Mrs. Anjum Naqvi, Zakirah Mugheesa Kazmi addressed the Majlis while Aneela Naqvi, minor Zakirah Areesha Zaidi and Rubina Akhtar presented Soz-o-Salam and Nohas.

Meanwhile, while announcing to observe “Ashra Shaheeda-e-Zindan” from 27th Muharram to 6th Safar in connection with the Shahadat of minor Aseera-e-Karbala, Agha Moosavi said that the exemplary character of Hazrat Sakina Bint-ul-Hussain (S.A.) is the best example to follow for children at large.

He said human being has been declared the best and this terminology is used both for man and woman while Zuhd-o-Taqwa have been considered as the standards of supremacy and gentlemanliness. He said Islam develops such persons in its human-building Maktab in line with high principles and values who may be the complete example for the world of humanity.

Agha Moosavi said that in the pre-Islam period, woman was vulnerable, valueless and had to be buried considering as a symbol of humiliation but Islam did not differentiate between woman and man but Zuhd-o-Taqwa and declared that like men, the character of women is also effective in putting the affairs of life on the path of development.

He said that whereas Hazrat Hawwa, Hazrat Hajra, Hazrat Aasia, Hazrat Maryam, Hazrat Khadijatul Kubra and other Ummaha-tul-Momineen and Sahabiyaat were respectable amongst women at large, at the same time Khatoon-e-Jannat Hazrat Fatima Zahra (S.A.) enjoyed singular status and respect in the universe. The existence of woman enjoyed gratitude owing to Khatoon-e-Jannat (S.A.) while the personalities of Dukhtaran-e-Tauheed achieved height in shape of Hazrat Sakina Bint-ul-Hussain (S.A.), the cries of this minor Mujahida shattered the Yazidi courts.

The Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Moosavi said that by paying homage to the Dukhtar-e-Hussain Ibne Ali (S.A.) in the Ashra Shaheeda-e-Zindan Majalis and Matmi processions, it could be declared upon the satanic world that Islam is the religion that never hesitates in offering sacrifice of even the offspring for the supremacy of humanity and for peace and tranquillity. That is why the spirit of sacrifice of Hazrat Imam Hussain (A.S.) is fresh in memories even after passage of 1500 years.

Hazrat Imam Hussain (A.S.) wrote the singular and perpetual story of sacrifice and subservience to Allah with his blood, he added.

He appealed all schools of thought to express practical hatred against the oppressed world and announce commitment to support the oppressed during the Ashra Shaheeda-e-Zindan programmes and pray for the supremacy of the world of humanity, and solidarity and development of the motherland.

Meanwhile, a TNFJ Committee has been formed to organise Ashra Shaheeda-e-Zindan programmes. Mrs. Jabir Hussain Naqvi has been nominated as Convener and Apa Syeda Hussain as Secretary of the Committee while Syeda Abeerah Zaidi and Apa Syeda Lewaa Zainab have been nominated to assist them.
