ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The 'Youm-e-Shuhada-e-Qaum' (Day of Nations Martyrs) was observed throughout the country on Friday with honour, respect and dignity on the call of Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi to pay homage to all Shuhada including Shaheed-e-Awwal Muhammad Hussain Shad without any discrimination.

The religious functions in this connection began with recitation from the Holy Quran in the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad.

Quran Khwani, Majalis-e-Tarheem were organised by different religious organisation, institutions and Matmi Dastas. Khutaba in their Friday congregations highlighted the importance of philosophy of Shahadat.

Protest demonstrations were organised by TNFJ District Youm Shuhada-e-Qaum Committees throughout the country including Federal Capital Islamabad against British government for conferring the title of ‘Sir’ on blasphemer Salman Rushdie, and against a private TV channel for committing humiliation against Amirul Momineen Khalifatul Muslimeen Hazrat Ali (A.S.) and pious Sahaba Kubaar.

A peaceful protest demonstration was organised by TNFJ Islamabad’s District Youm Shuhada-e-Qaum Committee in front of Press Club Camp Office Islamabad. Local ulema, and Convener of TNFJ Markazi Ayyam Shuhada-e-Qaum Committee Malik-e-Ashtar led the demonstration.

The speakers in their addresses on the occasion paid rich homage to Muhammad Hussain Shad whose sacrifice thwarted the heinous conspiracy of a tyrant ruler to turn Pakistan into a Maktabi State.

The Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi, addressing a special gathering on the occasion, vowed not to let the holy blood of the Shuhada-e-Qaum go waste that was shed for the protection of Nazria-e-Asaasi and every conspiracy against the religion and the motherland would be thwarted through mutual unity and brotherhood. He said Islam has been declared as the real and basis of Pakistan on the basis of which not only the recognised schools of thought supported Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah but also carried out all types of struggle in creating Pakistan. Struggling for enforcing Nazria-e-Asaasi, supremacy of righteousness and its protection, and utilizing all out physical and financial resources is jehad.

Agha Moosavi said that forces against the Pakistan ideology first divided Pakistan into two and then announced to make Pakistan a sectarian State to divert it from Nazria-e-Asaasi. In that situation, he added, Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya took courageous steps and by taking over the Islamabad Secretariat indicated that Pakistan is the fruit of sacrifices rendered by all recognised schools of thought and not that of any particular group or maslak.

He said Muhammad Hussain Shad kissed Shahadat for the protection of Nazria-e-Asaasi and today Pakistan is the Islamic State by the Grace of God. He said when Russians interfered in Afghanistan, the colonial powers declared those struggling against them as Mujahideen while some forces considered it a war between Islam and atheism and jehad the result of which are being reaped today as Pakistan is facing that brunt for the last three decades.

The TNFJ chief said that during that period biases were promoted, brother was pitched against brother, then came the drama of 9/11 and the powers that were declared Mujahideen by the colonial powers were now given the title of fundamentalists and extremists rather terrorists and they were wiped out by the allied forces that entered Afghanistan against them. Later the same drama was staged in Iraq where they did not even hesitate in desecrating the holy places. He said international colonial powers were following the policy of increasing pressure on Pakistan so as to target Pakistan. Therefore, he added, the powers that be, and all religious and political sections of society are under the obligation to stop this non-sense otherwise the whole world could come under its impact.

The Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi said Islam did not consider every war as jihad rather it was made conditional with “in way of Allah”. He said the oral, scholarly, financial and written jihad could be carried out any time but the jihad in which lives are lost keeps some conditions. He said the biggest jihad is to control your own Nafs that is the biggest enemy of the human being, gets entangled with wisdom and take strength from satanic thought and attacks wisdom.

That is why, he added, there is a saying of the Amirul Momineen Hazrat Ali (A.S.) that: Create control on your Nafs by doing rapid jihad against it, jihad with Nafs is such an asset against which one can get heaven. One who will control his Nafs by doing jihad against can achieve the real Bandagi of Allah and achieve a place near Allah through Jihad-e-Akbar by doing so. He said we can inflict defeat on international Taghoot by controlling our desires.

Agha Moosavi said all Shuhada whether they belong to any region, Maktab or a country, we pay homage to them for their struggle for independence, freedom, and achievement of rights.

He expressed the hope that Kashmiris, Afghanis, Iraqis, Palestinians, Lebanese rather all have-nots would succeed in their struggle one day or the other and the flag of justice and fair-play would flutter high putting the flag of oppression and brutality of half-mast. He reiterated his resolve not to forget those who rendered the sacrifice of their life for achievement of high targets and protection of Nazria-e-Asaasi and his struggle for promotion of pious target would continue.
