Ayat Al-Mamqani passes away; Iraq, Pak leaders express grief

HOLY QOM, Iran: Ayatullah Ash-Sheikh Mohi-ud-Din Al-Mamqani,
90, a great elderly personality of world of Marjiyat (Jurisprudence),
has expired in the holy city of Qom, Iran.
He possessed a high status in Hozaat Ilmiyah (Higher Islamic
Seminaries). Deceased was a close aide of Grand Shia Marje Ayatullah
Mohsin Al-Hakim (late). A book of his father "Tanqih Al Maqaal fi ilm
ur Rijaal" got high fame worldwide.
In Iraq, head of Supreme Islamic Council Syed Abdulaziz Al-Hakim and
president of United Iraqi Alliance send his condolence message to the
family of late Ayatullah Sheikh Mohi-ud-Din Al-Mamqani, son of grand
Ayatullah Sheikh Abdullah Al-Mamqani, and prayed for the bereaved
family patience and forbearance.
In Pakistan, Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah
Moosavi has expressed his heartfelt grief on the death of Ayatullah
Al-Mamqani. In his separate condolence messages to Maraje, Family of
Ayatullah Mohsin Al-Hakim and Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatullah
Khamenei, TNFJ Chief Agha Moosavi paid rich tributes to religious
services of the late Ayatullah terming his death a great loss in
Scholarly world.
