RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi has announced to observe “Youm-e-Samarra” (Samarra Day) on Friday, June 13 to mourn the destruction of Holy Minarets of the Shrine of Imam Al-Askariyain (A.S.). In a statement issued here from the headquarters of Maktab-e-Tashayyo, he said the Khanwada-e-Risalat bore many difficulties and problems in preaching religion and Shariat and put the humanity on the path of recognising Allah taking them out from the darkness of atheism and ‘shirk’. He said the religion presented by the Paighambar-e-Islam was based on the golden principles of Quran.

Agha Moosavi said that the Holy Shrine of Hazrat Imam Hassan Askri (A.S.) who is the son of Hazrat Imam Ali Naqi (A.S.) whose offspring are called ‘Aulad Sadaat-e-Naqvi’ were desecrated by the colonial powers and their agents in Iraq’s city of Samarra on June 13 last year in an terrorist act. He said as per Quran and Sunnah, respect of Sha’air Allah is binding therefore the norms of love demands that peaceful voice of protest should be raised against the destruction of these Holy Shrines at the hands of colonial powers as it is the right of the oppressed and have-nots to do so.

Meanwhile, Central Committee of the TNFJ has been formed to organised programmes for Youm-e-Samarra. Dr. S. Zaman has been nominated as Convener and Ali Abuzar Chauhan as Secretary of the Committee.
