Rights group slams Tehran for Juveniles on death row
By: Mohamed Ali
WASHINGTON, United states: An international rights group, based in
New York and Vienna, said Iran has sentenced 177 juvenile offenders to
death in the last decade, and 34 of them have been executed for crimes
committed before they were 18.
The International Campaign for Human Rights in Iran has just published
what it says is the first detailed list of juveniles on death row in
that country.
The group is calling on Iran to immediately abolish the death penalty
for juvenile offenders, saying it was obliged to do so under
international conventions on civil and children's rights.
According to the group 114 juvenile offenders are in prison awaiting
execution, while the remaining 29 have been pardoned.

"Knowledge is
better than wealth because it protects you while you have to
guard wealth. it decreases if you keep on spending it but the
more you make use of knowledge ,the more it increases . what you
get through wealth disappears as soon as wealth disappears but
what you achieve through knowledge will remain even after you."MORE
