HOLY QOM, Iran: Massive majales-i-aza and mourning processions were held across the Islamic Republic of Iran on Saturday, Jamadee As-Sanee 3 marking the anniversary of martyrdom of Banu-i-Islam, daughter of Prophet Hazret Muhammad (s.v.), Hazret Fatimeh Zahra Al-Batoul (a.s.).

Main mourning gatherings were organized at the holy shrines of Hazret Imam Ali Reza (a.s.) and Hazret Masumeh (a.s.) in the holy cities of Mash’had and Qom respectively.

Replica coffin of Hazret Zahra (a.s.) were also taken out in the processions.

Meanwhile, Maraje and Ayaat led processions that culminated at Hazret Masumeh (a.s.) shrine offering her condolence on the martyrdom of her grandmother Al-Batoul (a.s.).
