Arrest of Shias in City of Prophet (S) marking his martyrdom anniversary

HOLY MEDINAH, Saudi Arabia: Saudi religious police named Hey’ah Al-amr
b’il ma’rouf van-nahi e’nil Monker has detained a large number of
pilgrims of Prophet Muhammad b. Abdullah (S) in the holy city of
Medinah.
According to Rasid News the pilgrims were those who desired to go to
the Prophet Mosque marking his anniversary of martyrdom on Thursday,
Saffar (second month of the lunar calendar) 28.
Rasid News quoted a pilgrim who returned from holy Medinah as saying:
I saw three men arrested from inside the Prophet Mosque because they
had with them books of supplications and Az-Ziyarah Al-Ma’rufah. One
was a cleric while another was an Iranian.
Some other pilgrims confirmed to Rasid News presence of six other Shia
people till Friday evening. Their nationalities were not known.
A pilgrim said: “They stop us from even standing to see Al-Baqee
Cemetery.”
Al-Baqee Cemetery houses destructed graves of Prophet Muhammad (S)’s
daughter Sayyedah Fatimah Az-Zahra (AS), his grandsons Al-Imam Al-Hasan
bin Ali, Al-Imam Zain-ol Abidin, Al-Imam Al-Baqer and Al-Imam Ja’fer
As-Sadeq (AS), his wives (Ommahatol Mo’minin), uncles, aunts and
companions.
