ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Majalis and Matamdari programmes in connection with the “Hafta-e-Ehad-o-Paiman” (Week of Promise) announced by Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi continued throughout the country on Wednesday.

Majalis-e-Aza were held and Matmi processions were taken out by different religious and Matmi organisations and religious institutions. Ulema, Khutaba, A’aimma Masajid and Waizeen in their address highlighted the seerat of Imam Hassan Askari in detail and reiterated their resolve to continue their practical struggle to promote and protect all those objectives for which Syed-ush-Shuhada Hazrat Imam Hussain (A.S.) and his near and dear ones had kissed Shahadat and would not hesitate in offering any sacrifice in doing so.

Dr. Syeda Shabih Zahra addressing a Majlis-e-Aza at Markazi Imambargah Jamia-tul-Murtaza Islamabad under the auspices of Anjuman Dukhtran-e-Islam said that Azadari is a universal protest of the oppressed and have-nots against oppression and brutality which would continue till the supremacy of truthfulness and achievement of the rights of the oppressed.

She said key to the survival of the universe lay in Zikr-e-Hussain (A.S.). She said the Imam Aali Muqam does not belong to any particular Maktab or a group but he is the Shaheed-e-Hussainiyyat who sacrificed all he had along with his near and dear ones to save the high human values, religion and Shariat so as to give a new and eternal lease of life to the religion of Islam.

The Majlis followed by Shabih-e-Taboot Hazrat Fatima Sughra (A.S.) and Matamdari.

Aapa Syeda Hussain addressing a Majlis-e-Aza held at Sheb-e-Abi Talib under the auspices of Anjuman Kaneezan Imam-ul-Asr Waz Zaman (A.S.) said that at present the whole world was surrounded by the monster of terrorism and we would have to adopt Hussainiyyat to root it out because Imam Aali Muqaam by becoming a concrete wall against the evil and bad routed the Yazidi oppression. She said the Azadari and Eid-e-Milad processions are the practical display of Islam’s fanfare through which we can fulfil the objective of our creation through expressing love and devotion for Hussain (A.S.) and Mustafa (SAAW). She said the offspring of the Abu Talib (A.S.) fed the Shajar-e-Islam through their blood.

Mufti Basim Abbas Zahiri addressing a Majlis-e-Aza at Aza Khana Masooma-e-Qum under the auspices of Hay’at Tulaba-e-Islamia said that Nawasa-e-Rasool (SAAW) sacrificed his whole family in Karbala. He said the spread of Islam today all around the world is courtesy the invaluable and exemplary sacrifices and struggle of the Hussaini (A.S.) devotees.

The participants of the Majlis in a resolution adopted on the occasion condemned the suicide attacks at FIA headquarters in Model Town in Lahore and termed the same a heinous conspiracy of our eternal enemy. The resolution called upon the government and the politicians to join their heads to find out solution to problems like terrorism confronted by the country.

The resolution expressed heartfelt sympathy with the bereaved families of the Lahore incidents and prayed for the early recovery of the injured.

Another resolution expressed grave concern over unending blasphemous activities of the western media and termed it an open challenge to the honour and dignity of the Islamic World and called upon the Muslim States, international world organisations and institutions to declare insult of Mashaheer belonging to any religion as cognizable offence.
