MANAMA, Bahrain: Like other countries, Mauled-or Rasul wa Hafeedohu, or the birth anniversaries of Prophet Muhammad b. Abdullah (S) and his grandson Al-Imam Jafar b. Muhammad As-Sadeq (AS) was observed with due reverence and happiness across the tiny kingdom of Bahrain.

Mosques, husseiniyaat and ma’atam as well as houses and streets were beautifully decorated with shiny lights, colorful buntings and fresh flowers, and special feasts were thrown for all to mark the auspicious occasion which falls on Rabi Al-Oola 17.

Grand festivals, conferences, galas and poetic evenings were organized attended by hundreds of thousands of devotees of the Prophet (S).

Addressing these gatherings, the speakers strongly condemned continued aggression against the prophet Muhammad (S) by European media.
