Syria: Mourning at maraqed of Sayeda Zainab (A), Sayeda Roqaya (A)

DAMASCUS, Syria: Hundreds of thousands of Hussaini mourners who
could not reach Karbala to observe Arbaeen gathered in Syria
commemorating the event.
On the dawn of Arbaeen, Tatbeer (slit open head with sord to gush
out blood to signify grief on the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (AS)) was
performed by thousands of mourners wearing white shrouds.
A large procession began from the holy shrine of Sayedah Roqaya
bintul Hussain (AS) after Fajar (pre-dawn) prayers. It culminated at
the holy mausoleum of Al-Hauraa Sayedah Zainab binte Ali (AS).
