Pilgrims must use spiritual journey to solidify unity, advises Iran SL

TEHRAN, Iran: Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said
the hajj ritual provides the best opportunity to consolidate unity
among Muslims.
In a meeting with hajj officials and directors, Ayatollah Khamenei
pointed out that since Muslims are from diverse ethnic groups, which
all have their own particular cultures and tastes, the hajj pilgrimage
is a “great opportunity” to bridge such “natural and artificial”
chasms.
The hajj is not a vacation, it is a “spiritual” journey, the Leader
noted. “You should advise Iranian and non-Iranian pilgrims to seize
such an unprecedented opportunity in the best possible manner.”
All should exercise vigilance to remain united and prevent any discord
or disputes during the pilgrimage, he emphasized.
