RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The Universal Youm-e-Inhidaam Jannatul Baqee
was observed throughout the country including Azad Kashmir and
Northern Areas on Wednesday on the call of Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya
Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi to lodge protest against destruction
of holy shrines of Jannatul Baqee and Jannatul Moalla.

On this occasion, Majalis-e-Aza were held and protest Matmi
processions were taken out in all big cities and towns against the
destruction of holy shrines. In Rawalpindi, the central Matmi protest
demonstration was taken out from Imambargah Nasir Al-Aza Chowk Waris
Khan.

The participants of the procession marched towards Committee Chowk
through marching the Murree Road performing Matamdari and Noha-Khwani
where it took the shape of a grand rally. The minor workers of Mukhtar
Generation and jawans of Ibrahim Scouts were carrying Shabih of
Jannatul Baqee, and banners and placards inscribed with different
slogans.

At this point Syed Qamar Haider Zaidi Central Secretary Information
addressing the rally lamented that the shrines of those holy
personalities who enlightened Shariat were lying dismantled but our
rulers, politicians and media were playing the role of silent
spectators. He posed a question that why the devotees of Pir of Golra
Sharif, Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh, Quaid-i-Azam, Allama Iqbal, Zulfikar
Ali Bhutto and Ziaul Haq are silent? When mazars of these leaders are
intact with full fanfare then why the shrines of Dukhtar-e-Rasool (S.A.),
Aal-e-Athaar (A.S.), Ummahatul Momineen (R.A.) and Sahaba Kubaar (R.A.)
are in dilapidated condition?

He said the Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah
Moosavi has thrown a challenge that dream of annexation of Al-Quds
Ash-Sharif, and independence of occupied Muslim States could not come
true unless the dignity of the Jannatul Baqee and Jannatul Moalla are
restored. Chairman MFP Ch. Abu Baidar Ali also addressed the rally.

A few resolutions were also adopted unanimously on the occasion.
One of the resolutions said that Bait Allah is revered for the whole
world of Islam. We do not keep personal friendship or enmity with
anyone and this protest is not against any State or sect rather it is
against oppression, barbarism and dictatorship. The resolution said
that we do not care whether anyone is pleased or not and assert truth
even on the point of the spear. The resolution said that peaceful
protest is the fundamental right of the oppressed world and we
consider that erasing signs is tantamount to deviation from the
history of the religion and Shariah.

Another resolution said that Zionists and Hindus are occupying our
cities and are also annihilating our signs and heritage owing to
dilapidated and weak condition of Muslims today.

The resolution quoted an Israeli daily carrying a write-up entitled
"History Erased" in last Friday’s edition revealing that Israel has
demolished nearly 100 mosques in Palestinian villages including Mashad
An-Nabi Hussain Mosque which is attributed to Imam Hussain’s (A.S.)
ziarat. Report further said that Israeli General Moshe Dayan who was
also an archaeology expert had ordered this demolition while he was
Lt. Colonel. In spite of severe protest of head of Israeli department
of archaeology Shmuel Yeivin many holy sites and historical places in
Palestine have been razed to ground. Shmuel says these archaeology
signs are sacred and respectable besides being a historical heritage
therefore their protection is must, the resolution added.

Yet another resolution regretted that the same game is being played
in Kashmir by India that had destructed Babri Masjid. On the other
hand, allied forces destructed Afghanistan, trampling honour and
dignity of holy sites in Iraq, and razed holy shrines of Al-Askariyain
to ground.

Later, the rally terminated at Imambargah Col. Maqbool Hussain
after passing through its traditional route where special prayers
marked the conclusion of the rally. Mukhtar Force volunteers escorted
the rally throughout while District Administration had made fool-proof
arrangements en route the rally. Police officers and jawans remained
with the rally throughout.

In Federal Capital, Islamabad the protest procession was taken out
by TNFJ District Islamabad Universal Youm-e-Inhidaam Jannatul Baqee
Committee from Darbar Aalia Hazrat Sakhi Mahmood Badshah near Aabpara.
The rally was led by Secretary Universal Youm-e-Inhidaam Jannatul
Baqee Committee Malik-e-Ashtar, TNFJ District Council Islamabad
President Allama Basharat Hussain Imami, District Jannatul Baqee
Committee Convener Syed Nusrat Ali Naqvi, Khateeb Masjid Jafariya I-9
Islamabad Allama Guftaar Hussain Sadiqi, Allama Hussain Kazmi, Allama
Hussain Muqaddasi, District Commander Syed Mahmood Hussain Shah,
Zulfiqar Ali Raja, Ch. Sabir Hussain, Qudrat Illahi Haideri, Assad
Abbas Haideri, Zakir Mushtaq Hussain Shah Kazmi, Shafqat Hussain Naqvi,
Ghulam Abbas Haideri, Sakhi Muhammad Haideri and others.

The participants of the rally were carrying portraits of
Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Moosavi, and banners and placards
inscribed with different slogans. The procession turned out into a
rally after reaching Aabpara Chowk. Allama Basharat Hussain Imami,
addressing the rally said reconstruction of the holy graves was the
combined issue of the Muslims at large, therefore, the Muslim rulers
should launch a joint struggle for the restoration of dignity of
Sha’air Allah. He said 8th Shawal is the darkest day in the history of
Islam and the whole world of humanity is shedding tears on the
destruction of the holy shrines of Mohsina-e-Islam, daughter of the
Holy Prophet (SAAW) Hazrat Fatima Zahra (S.A.), Ummahatul Momineen and
Sahaaba Kubaar.

He called upon all international organisations including the United
Nations to take immediate steps to get the dignity of Jannatul Baqee
and Jannatul Moalla restored. Convener of the District Committee of
the Universal Youm-e-Inhidaam Jannatul Baqee Syed Nusrat Ali Naqvi
also addressed the rally and thanked the participants for their
concern on this important issue.

A resolution adopted on the occasion demanded from the Government
to initiate practical efforts for the reconstruction of holy shrines
of Jannatul Baqee and Jannatul Moalla at diplomatic level in line with
the May 21, 1985 Junejo-Moosavi Agreement and lodge protest with them
while all international organizations and champions of human rights
including the United Nations, ICC and OIC must take steps to get the
dignity of these historical signs restored as these are the
inheritance of whole world of humanity and Shariah, otherwise Makkah
Mukarramah and Madinah Munawwarah should be declared open cities and
Muslim Ummah would herself restore the dignity of these places.
Later the rally terminated at Darbar Sakhi Mahmood Badshah where
special prayers were offered to mark the conclusion of the rally.

Youm-e-Inhidaam Jannatul Baqee Committee, the protest rallies were
