Salamon Alayka Ya Aba Abdellah … Husseini memory in Saudi

AL-QATIF, Saudi Arabia: Massive Majales Al-Azaiyah, or
the mourning sittings, Husseini poetic nights and mourning processions
to commemorate the supreme sacrifice presented by Al-Imam Al-Hussein
b. Ali b. Abi Talib (a.s.) some 1,400 years ago in the hot desert of
Karbala were in continuation in oil-rich Mo’minin-dominated eastern
region of Saudi Arabia.
The Majales, started on the eve of Muharram, will be
carried over till 8th of Raby Al-Oola, the 3rd Islamic month, at
mosques, husseiniyaat and ma’atm.
Addressing these majales al-azaiyah, speakers throw light on the great
sacrifices of Al-Imam Al-Hussein (a.s.), philosophy of tragedy of
Karbala and Imam (a.s.)’s Qayam. Rich homage is paid to Sibt Ar-Rasul
Al-Imam Al-Hussein (p) and his 72 near and dear ones.
