HOLY CITY OF KARBALA, Iraq: Majalis and mawakib al-Husseini are
being held across this holy city to commemorate the unparalleled
sacrifice of grandson of Prophet Muhammad (s), al-Imam Al-Hussein (a).
On Wednesday, Muharram 6, December 23, students and professors of
Karbala universities took out a Husseini procession urging they were
still stuck to Husseini Line and that Husseini Revolution is a lesson
for every revolution in the world.
After marching through the streets, the mourners (estimated 10,000)
reached at the holy shrine of Al-Abbas b. Ali b. Abi Talib (a) and
then culminated at the holy shrine of Al-Imam Abi Abdellah Al-Hussein
(a).
