London to host 'Samarra: Heritage and Culture' conference

LONDON, Britain: The Centre for Islamic Shi'a Studies has scheduled
to hold a conference on 19th February 2009 entitled 'Samarra: Heritage
and Culture' in London.
The conference to be held on Thursday 19 February 2009 at Brunei
Gallery, SOAS. A gallery will be available for viewing with images
never before published of Samarra.
The distinguished list of paper presentations includes notable
academics from the US, France, Norway, Denmark and the UK.
