HOLY CITY OF QOM, Iran: The anniversary of reaching the Caravan of captives of Ahlil Beit (AS) at the court of the then evil ruler Yazid in Shaam (Syria) was observed n Iran on Safar 1.

After the martyrdom of Hazret Imam Hosein (AS) and his 72 faithful companions on Moharram 10, 61 AH, at the hand of Yazidi forces, the chaste ladies of the house of Holy Prophet (SAWW) – his daughters, granddaughters – were made captives on Moharram 11 following torching of heir camps by the forces. They were then headed to Shaam bare heads on bare camels. It was Safar 1 when their caravan reached at the Yazid’s court.

In holy Qom, the city of Karimeh Ahlil Beit (AS), a grand procession (replica of the caravan of Ahlil Beit) was taken out. It culminated at the shrine of Hazret Fatimeh Masumeh (AS).
