DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Pakistan: A suicide bomber attacked the funeral of slain Mukhtar Force D.I.Khan’s Commander in Dera Ismail Khan, northwestern Pakistan, on Friday February 20, leaving more than 34 martyred and 150 injured. Curfew has been enforced and army has been called to control the situation.

Young Sher Zaman was martyred in target-killing the day before on Thursday February 19.

Mukhtar force Pakistan, a subsidiary wing of the only representative organization of Shias Tehreek Nafaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jafariya headed by Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shahg Moosavi, protects Sha'air Allah regardless of any differences.

Nearly 2,000 people were attending the funeral when according to an eye witnesses a 16-year-old young boy penetrated into the crowd and a powerful explosion occurred.

Some of the dead and injured were taken to the hospital in wooden handcarts.

Gunfire broke out afterward.

In a statement the day before, Agha Moosavi said those powers that were out to give every murder and incident of terrorism the colour Sunni-Shia conflict, are enemies of Pakistan and Islam and are ignorant of international politics. There was no sectarian conflict before nor would any one be allowed to create any in future in Pakistan.

“Whether attack is on Imambargahs, mosques, ulema, journalists, politicians or religious leaders, it would be considered an attack and open act of terrorism against Pakistan,” he said.
