RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi has announced to observe “International Ashra Beemar-e-Karbala” from 15-25 Muharramul Haram in connection with the Shahadat of Syed-us-Sajideen Hazrat Imam Zainul Abideen (A.S.).

In a statement issued from the headquarters of the Maktab-e-Tashih, he said the way after the Shahadat of Hussain (A.S.), the Beemar-e-Karbala exercised firmness, patience, forbearance and grieve would remain beacon of light for the whole humanity for ever. He said Zuhd-o-Taqwah has been considered the standard of supremacy of the humanity while it is also considered the objective of human life. He said from amongst the inheritors of Holy Prophet (SAAW), Hazrat Ali Ibnul Hussain (A.S.) is that great personality that has been given the title of Syed-us-Sajideen Zainul Abideen (A.S.). He is the Syed-o-Sardar of the worshippers of Allah and he spent his life in an era when the oppression and brutality was at its height, and this era could be termed the era of massacre and Shahadat of Khasan-e-Illahi, he added.

Agha Moosavi said the era of Beemar-e-Karbala (A.S.) spread over 57 years was the worst period of problems, difficulties. He carried the responsibilities from Allah on his shoulders. Being the great inheritor of Shaheedan-e-Karbala he inherited the protection of the message of Shuhada-e-Karbala. He said the Beemar-e-Karbala Imam Zainul Abideen (A.S.) protected and disseminated the sacrifice remembered as “Zibah-e-Azeem”. He shattered the streets of Kufa and Shaam and the courts of Ibne Ziad and Yazid by delivering heart-rending Khutbaat with courage and firmness. He said many brave persons could not confront the oppression and brutality but the world stands witness that Imam Sajjad (A.S.) who had to face Ibne Ziad, Yazid and his supporters defended the religion, Shariat and Hussainiyyat in a brave manner making it clear that even Yazid could not make the followers of Shariat bow down before him.

The TNFJ chief said that Imam Zainul Abideen (A.S.) addressing Ibne Ziad had said: “One who does not know me, I want to tell him that I am Fazand-e-Hussain Ibne Ali (A.S.) and the son of that Shaheed whose honour was trampled and Ahle Bait (A.S.) were made prisoners and their valuables were looted, I do not consider myself as weak and incapacitated”. There is another saying attributed to him: “Oh, people! What explanation would you give to Bargah Adl-e-Illahi on the Day of Judgement, that day when the Paighamber (SAAW) would ask you that you killed my offspring and trampled my dignity, you are not from my Ummah, how would you face the Holy Prophet (SAAW) that day?” Afterwards, the Imam (A.S.) delivered a heart-rending Khutba in which he made the Fazail and Munaqib of the Khanwada-e-Risalat (A.S.) clear and presented the Mazloomiyyat of Shuhada-e-Karbala in a manner that the people present in the Darbar were shattered and started crying. These Khutbaat shattered the Yazidi courts also, he added.

The Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi appealed all countrymen to observe International Ashra Beemar-e-Karbala (A.S.) from 15-25 Muharram on the occasion of Shahadat of Hazrat Imam Zainul Abideen (A.S.) and pay homage to the Aseeran-e-Karbala. He said they should strongly condemn the oppression of international colonial powers and their agents and should continue their support and help to the oppressed world and pray for the integrity and solidarity of the Islamic World and the motherland Pakistan.

Meanwhile, a TNFJ Committee has been formed to organize programmes for International Ashra Beemar-e-Karbala. Dr. S. Zaman has been nominated as Convener and M.D. Haideri as its Secretary.
