Hazrat Fatima (AS) remembered in India
By: Nizam Hussain
ALLAHABAD, India: Martyrdom Anniversary of Hazrat Syeda Fatima toz
Zahra (AS) was observed throughout India like other countries on
Jamadi-us Sani 3 with due reverence.
On this occasion, majalis-e-aza were held at imam baras and mosques.
While addressing a majlis-e-aza at Imam Bara Mir Husaini situated at
Rani Mandi Allahabad, Maulana Zeeshan Haider asserted: "Long ago when
Arab land was in the age of darkness and status of women had
considerably deteriorated, Prophet Muhammad (SAWW) and his daughter
Syeda Fatima Zahra (AS) worked for the uplift of women and made them
aware of their rights."

The condition of the women was so poor that even daughters were
buried alive.
He further stated that through traditions it was revealed that
whenever Syeda Fatima Zahra (AS) reached the house of her father
Prophet Muhammad (SAWW), the latter stood up and greeted her. He also
offered his own seat to the daughter, showering love. Such act proved
that father should treat their daughters affectionately.
It is pertinent to mention that death of Syeda Fatima Zahra (AS) took
place in the year 632 AD when she was only 18 years old. She occupies
a very prominent place in Islamic history. She was the daughter of
Prophet Muhammad (SAWW), wife of first infallible imam Hazrat Ali (AS)
and mother of Imam Hasan (AS) and Saheed-e-Karbala Imam Husain (AS).
The majlis started with the recitation of Quran followed by sozkhani
by Zaigham Abbas.
Later on, nauha was read by Abrar Husain of Dasta-e-Abbasia who paid
tributes to the memory of Syeda Fatima Zahra (AS).

"Knowledge is
better than wealth because it protects you while you have to
guard wealth. it decreases if you keep on spending it but the
more you make use of knowledge ,the more it increases . what you
get through wealth disappears as soon as wealth disappears but
what you achieve through knowledge will remain even after you."MORE
