ZARIA, Nigeria: Islamic Movement in Nigeria under the
leadership of his eminent Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky concluded the unity
week which is organized in every month of Rabiul Awwal from 12th -17th
with a huge gathering for the celebration of the Auspicious birth day
of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.a.).

In this year’s unity week held in Islamic Centre Zaria,
Islamic scholars from different Mazahib, darikat and all regions of
Nigeria were invited to give their contributions. They gave sound,
educative and remarkable lectures in different topics which scheduled
as follows:
Sheikh Mahmoud Ali-adeen -The necessity of Leadership in Islam, Sheikh
Dawud Anazie Onyeagpcha- Individual/ Community Rightsin Islam, Sheikh
Zakzaky-Nahjul Balaga, Sheikh Halliru Maraya -Life and History of Imam
Jafar Assadiq(AS). Dr. Yusuf Ali -Jewish Atrocities around the world,
Sheikh Abubakar Shuaibu –Holding fast to the Covenant of Allah (Qur?an},
Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky Tafsir, Sheikh Murtadha Abul Fathi-Life and
Struggle of Sheikh Usman Bn Fodio Sheikh Qasiyuni Nasir Kabara. –
Protecting the rights of the Prophet: A necessity. Sheikh Ibrahim
makari- Unity: The Collective Right of the Ummah, General Remark -
Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky (H), Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky (H) gave a
closing Lecture.

On Friday 17th Rabiul Awwal 1430 (13/03/09), members of
the Islamic movement from Nigeria and neighboring Niger, Cameron,
Ghana and Chad in millions gathered in Zaria city for closing ceremony
of the unity week and most importantly to rejoice with the Ummah and
celebrate the birth day of the Holy Prophet Muhammad.
They marched in the main roads of the city from Kofar Kuyen Bana road,
Sabon Gari to Kofar Shuhadah and concluded at Eid prayers ground. They
held placards with the slogans of unity, salutations to the holy
Prophet and his Holy Progeny, recitations of poems and beating bands.
Most interestingly they marched in line and uniformly while
distributing sweets and money to the peoples in the road.
At the end of the march, Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky gave a concluding
lecture to the audience.
